Each year, the Nassau County Council of Superintendents gather to honor the valedictorians and salutatorians throughout the county.

In late May at the annual NCCSS retreat, president-elect Marie Testa recognized and honored Farmingdale School District Superintendent Paul Defendini for his year of service as president of the Council.

The Nassau County Council of School Superintendents (NCCSS) is proud to once again partner with Career Couture in a donation drive dedicated to empowering individuals as they enter the workforce.

Educators from school districts throughout Nassau County worked in partnership with the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents’ Curriculum Writing Committee during the last several months to develop lessons for students in grades K-12 on tolerance and peace.

Several superintendents were recognized for their years of service and upcoming retirement. Additionally, the organization honored Dr. Dominick Palma for his year of service to the association as president.
